In all my endeavours of being a leader both as the Managing Director of foodpanda Romania or as a co-founder of LifeBox, I discovered a lot about myself.

I learned to listen to my instincts not only to the numbers, and this is the difference between myself and a consultant.

I was a MD for a big, multinational corporation as well as an entrepreneur from start-up to scale-up to internationalisation. In this journey I also found my purpose. It was revealed to me in an Ayahuasca ceremony a couple of years ago and it was very simple: “My purpose in life is to nourish the people around me”.

Later I understood that foodpanda and LifeBox, even if they are related to the food industry, are just pathways for my purpose. I also understood that I can give more to others and in this way I also become more. My energy, my knowledge and my time are the most valuable asset that I’m willing to share for the right purpose.

During my journey through the business world I learned to be more humble, to ask questions, and to appreciate people and their input much more.

I’ve learned that the best thing that you can do in business and life is to surround yourself with people that are better than you, at least in their area of expertise.

My colleagues are the best thing that happened to me professionally. We grew together and we created amazing things in the process.

This will be my focus in any future collaboration, to work with people that I genuinely like and respect.
